                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 4820
                   HIXSON PIKE, BEING ON THE SOUTHEAST LINE OF
                   HIXSON PIKE SOUTHWEST OF HIGHWAY 153 FROM C-2
                   CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE TO C-1 HIGHWAY
                   COMMERCIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 4820 Hixson Pike, being
                on the southeast line of Hixson Pike southwest of
                Highway 153.  Part of Tract C, Edgar L. Barker
                Estate, as shown by plat of record in deed book O,
                volume 29, page 231, R.O.H.C., being part of the
                property described as Tract C in deed book O,
                volume 29, page 229. R.O.H.C., and all of tax map
                number 110H-D-47.
               
               
         from C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone to C-1 Highway Commercial
         Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
